Event Schedule

Meetings for the Fall 2009 semester will be held on the first Wednesday of each month @ 12:30. All members are encouraged to attend should personal schedules permit it.

October 2009

Ask a Librarian, October 7th in Memorial Union: Members volunteered for 1-hour shifts to stand with a campus librarian in Memorial Union to respond to questions from passers-by.

Tour of the Veteran’s Museum and Archives: The tour of the Veteran’s Museum and Archives is tentatively planned for the middle of October (probably Wednesday mid-day on October 14th or October 21st).

Wisconsin Library Association Conference, October 20-23, 2009:A ride list will be posted on the Student Organizations bulletin board in the SLIS Commons showing when people are driving to the conference throughout the week. Members with cars who plan on going to the conference were encouraged to post when they are going on the bulletin board for those who would like to plan around when rides are available. This year, a group of seven SLIS students from ALA-SC and SLA will be competing in the Second Annual Book Cart Drill Team Competition at the WLA Conference in Appleton, WI on the morning of October 23rd.
