Overview
Subject
Specialists for Academic and Research Libraries: Research, Recruitment,
and Education is a joint research project, conducted by the University
of Wisconsin-Madison School of Library Information Studies (SLIS)
and the University of Maryland College of Information Studies (CLIS)
with assistance from cooperating libraries on these campuses and
at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It is a three-year project
funded by Institute of Museum and and Library Services (IMLS).
The
project is a combination of research, recruitment, and capacity
building, and it will provide baseline data on a critical personnel
supply and demand situation and develop and test a means for meeting
projected needs.

ALISE 2007 Annual Conference was presented in Seattle, Washington,
January 15- 18, 2007.
Two
juried papers were presented at ALISE 2006 Annual Conference in
